GAA Classic Cars’ Auctioning Off Restomod 1972 Blazer With Matching Surfboard

GAA Classic Cars’ Auctioning Off Restomod 1972 Blazer With Matching Surfboard

Nothing before or after can match the comfort and style of the first-generation Blazer. While other SUVs were only offered in 4WD, the 2WD models came with coil springs on all four corners. At the time such a plushy ride was reserved for Cadillac, but Chevrolet saw it as an opportunity. Other firsts include leaving the roof at home. After removing a few bolts, everything from the windshield to the tailgate is open to the sky.

To incorporate the most popular truck trends, the eggcrate front end was replaced by the 1967 dual-slot. Behind the classic grille is a beastly LS3 crate engine rated at 525 horsepower. However, this number is much lower than what it actually makes because the builder chose velocity stacks under 8 individual throttle bodies. All accessories have been anodized in black to accentuate the beast. Also along for the ride is a Vintage Air Gen IV AC and Heater.

You and three friends can relax in reclining leather while Wilwood brakes keep you safe. All four seats are embossed with the K/5 logo, and the wheels were custom-made by Billet Specialties. Behind the seats are a custom subwoofer enclosure and matching storage space on the opposite side. A billet steering wheel and tilt column would be a nice finishing touch, but this red devil was replicated on a matching surfboard. Considering the intake is worth more than your daily driver, click the link below for all the details of this meticulous masterpiece.

This lot is one of the vehicles offered at GAA Classic Cars’ upcoming auction in Greensboro NC November 5-7, 2020.  Register to bid online or in-person today!
