{"id":12859,"date":"2021-11-03T09:03:57","date_gmt":"2021-11-03T13:03:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/auto\/?p=12859"},"modified":"2021-11-03T09:03:57","modified_gmt":"2021-11-03T13:03:57","slug":"ford-eluminator-ecrate-f100-concept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=12859","title":{"rendered":"Ford&#8217;s First E-Crate Motor Debuts On F-100 Eluminator Restomod"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ford Performance stuck to its word and unveiled its first-ever electric crate motor at SEMA, <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/529286\/ford-eluminator-crate-motor-specs\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22529286%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22ford-eluminator-crate-motor-specs%22%7D\">the Eluminator<\/a>.\u00a0Mind you, the Blue Oval didn\u2019t just show it on a rotating display\u2014the Eluminator got a really cool \u201cwrapping\u201d in the form of a 1978 Ford F-100 electric restomod.<\/p>\n<p>Going by the name F-100 Eluminator Concept, the truck showcases the benefits of electric propulsion using a 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition battery electric powertrain and twin front and rear electric traction motors.<\/p>\n<p>The powertrain produces a combined 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft (859 Nm) of torque in the F-100 EV conversion, including the Eluminator electric crate motor based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/503403\/ford-mustang-mache-gt-performance\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22503403%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22ford-mustang-mache-gt-performance%22%7D\">Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition<\/a>\u2019s traction motor. The e-crate motor is rated at 281 horsepower and 317 lb-ft (429 Nm) of torque.<\/p>\n<p>Street-legal in all 50 states, the electric crate motor has Part No. M-9000-MACH-E and is now available to purchase online through Ford Performance Parts or at authorized Ford parts warehouse dealers for $3,900. To be developed with some of the leading performance manufacturers, they will include battery systems, controllers and traction inverters \u201c<em>to close the loop on full turnkey aftermarket electrification solutions.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for the F-100 Eluminator concept pickup, it was designed and created by Ford Performance in collaboration with MLe Racecars and sits on a custom chassis by the Roadster Shop.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the outside, the electrified classic truck plays the understatement card really well.
