Faurecia has signed the letter led by the \u2018We Mean Business\u2019 coalition calling on the G20 to maintain the 1.5\u00b0C commitment of the Paris Agreement.\n<\/p>\n
COP26 is currently being held in Glasgow until 12 November, with all members of the We Mean Business coalition noting they are committed to achieving net zero emissions by mid-century, consistent with global efforts to limit global warming to 1.5\u00b0C.\n<\/p>\n
These objectives are in line with Faurecia\u2019s CO2<\/sub> neutrality trajectory, validated by SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative).<\/p>\n
\u201c<\/strong>Faurecia has joined the \u2018We Mean Business\u2019 Coalition, marking our strong commitment to the climate,\u201d said Faurecia CEO, Patrick Koller.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are engaged to join forces with other leading global organisations to help tackle global warming. Maintaining the 1.5\u00b0C will require a profound and urgent transformation of our society, of the economy and all the systems that support them.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a company, we have a responsibility to make a positive impact on society. As a player in the automotive industry, we are taking concrete actions to reduce the carbon footprint of our activities and to offer solutions for a sustainable mobility.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
Faurecia is committed to achieving CO2<\/sub>\u00a0neutrality for Scopes 1 and 2 by 2025. The Group is also targeting to reduce by half its scope 3 emissions by 2030 and aims for full CO2<\/sub>\u00a0neutrality by 2050, including the use phase of its products.\n<\/p>\n
These targets are aligned with the 1.5\u00b0C ambition of the Science Based Target initiative.\n<\/p>\n
