Even the plug-ins barely noted an increase.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official data, some <strong>10,342<\/strong> new plugs-ins were registered during the month (<strong>up 0.9%<\/strong> year-over-year), which was enough to achieve a near-record <strong>89.3%<\/strong> market share (<a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/537973\/norway-plugin-car-sales-september2021\/\">the record was set previous month at 91.5%<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The all-electric cars improved 3% year-over-year to 8,116, controlling 70% of the market, while plug-in hybrids noted a 6% decrease to 2,226.<\/p>\n<p>Stats for the month:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BEVs: 8,116 <\/strong>(<strong>up 3.1%<\/strong>, at <strong>70.1%<\/strong> market share) + 1,090 &#8220;used&#8221; + 348 new vans<\/li>\n<li><strong>PHEVs: 2,226<\/strong> (<strong>down 6.2%<\/strong>, at <strong>19.2%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Total: 10,342<\/strong> (<strong>up 0.9%<\/strong>, at <strong>89.3%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<section contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/new-passenger-plug-in-car-registrations-in-norway-october-2021.png\" alt=\"external_image\"\/><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>So far this year, over 119,000 new passenger plug-ins were registered, which is over 85% of the total market. The remaining part is shared by conventional and hybrid models.<\/p>\n<p>Stats year-to-date:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BEVs<\/strong>: <strong>88,674<\/strong> (<strong>up 58%<\/strong>, at <strong>63.1%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<li><strong>PHEVs<\/strong>: <strong>30,807<\/strong> (<strong>up 42%<\/strong>, at <strong>21.9%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Total<\/strong>: <strong>119,481<\/strong> (<strong>up 54%<\/strong>, at <strong>85.1%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<section contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/new-passenger-plug-in-car-registrations-in-norway-october-2021-b.png\" alt=\"external_image\"\/><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/volkswagen\/id-4\/\">Volkswagen ID.4<\/a> was the top-selling model in October with 913 registrations, followed by its cousin &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tag\/skoda-enyaq-iv\/\">Skoda Enyaq iV<\/a> (760).
