They&#8217;ll soon have a third option, according to a recent report: <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/ford\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:3;\">Ford<\/a> Performance announced a supercharger kit at the 2021 edition of the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/sema\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:4;\">SEMA<\/a> show that was developed specifically for the latest generation of the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine.<\/p>\n<p>Enthusiast website <em><a href=\"https:\/\/fordauthority.com\/2021\/11\/ford-performance-2021-f-150-supercharger-kit-for-5-0l-v8-makes-700hp\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:5;\">Ford Authority<\/a><\/em> explained that Ford needed to develop a new supercharger kit for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2021\/11\/01\/2022-ford-f-150-review\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:6;\">the 14th-generation F-150<\/a> because the available V8 features cylinder deactivation technology. While official information hasn&#8217;t been released yet, publication learned that the supercharger increases the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/truck\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:7;\">truck&#8217;s<\/a> output to 700 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque; note that achieving those figures requires feeding the eight-cylinder premium gasoline. 0-60 mph reportedly takes under five seconds, which is tremendously fast.<\/p>\n<p>For context, the V8 makes 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque when left stock and naturally-aspirated. The kit that unlocks 300 horses includes a Whipple supercharger, an intercooler, an air inlet hose and the hardware required to install the different parts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pricing information and availability haven&#8217;t been announced; we&#8217;re still waiting for an official announcement from the Blue Oval. In the meantime, <em>Ford Authority<\/em> added that the supercharger is covered by a three-year, 30,000-mile <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/tag\/warranty\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:8;\">warranty<\/a> and that it doesn&#8217;t void the factory warranty if it&#8217;s installed by an authorized <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/car-dealers\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:9;\">dealer<\/a> because it has been tested and approved by Ford.
