This and more, here at <em>Green Car Reports.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Swedish battery supplier Northvolt announced last week that it has made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1134177_northvolt-first-ev-battery-cell-recycled-nickel-manganese-cobalt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a functioning EV battery using recycled nickel, manganese, and cobalt<\/a>. The materials are recovered through a process that can be scaled up\u2014potentially helping automakers reach sustainability and carbon targets and adding to the stability of the supply chain.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The electric truck maker Rivian is reportedly considering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1134178_report-rivian-considering-georgia-for-second-us-plant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a location in Georgia for its second U.S. factory<\/a>\u2014although negotiations haven\u2019t been finalized. If the IPO darling does choose Georgia, it would be close to what\u2019s becoming a regional hotbed for EV and battery production.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ford has told something of an origin story about the so-called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1134181_2022-ford-f-150-lightning-electric-truck-frunk-more-than-the-space-left-over\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mega Power Frunk in the 2022 F-150 Lightning electric pickup<\/a>.
