Tesla has launched a new product: a microphone called \u2018TeslaMic\u2019 designed for its in-car karaoke system.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s only available in China for now.<\/p>\n

Today, Tesla started pushing its \u2018Chinese New Year\u2019 software update in China.<\/p>\n

Like in the rest of the world, Tesla often bundles up features for a bigger end-of-the-year software update that most often includes some fun features.<\/p>\n

For the Chinese New Year update, Tesla went a step further and actually also launched a physical product.<\/p>\n

The company released the \u2018TeslaMic,\u2019 a microphone designed to work with Leishi KTV, a karaoke system that is being included as part of the update.<\/p>\n

The device has launched on Telsa\u2019s Chinese merch store for 1,199 Chinese Yuan (~$188 USD):<\/p>\n

The webpage<\/a> to order the new microphone, which comes in a set of two, has been crashing.<\/p>\n

With the release of its V10 software<\/a> in 2019, Tesla launched a new in-car \u2018Caraoke\u2019 feature to its vehicles. It plays a limited list of songs with lyrics appearing on the center display.<\/p>\n

But in the new 2022.2.1 software update in China, the company is launching a more complete karaoke system using Leishi KTV\u2019s interface and catalog, and running on the in-car computer:<\/p>\n

According to Tesla\u2019s description, the TeslaMic pairs automatically with the system and it comes equipped with a few sound modes to help out the singers.<\/p>\n

It can also be used outside Tesla vehicles, as the automaker showed in a video demonstration of the 2022.2.1 software update released on its official Weibo account:<\/p>\n
