C denotes the third and final generation of the 356, and S refers to the sportier engine. 356Cs have several upgrades over the 356As and 356Bs, including disc brakes at every wheel, and the most powerful engine Porsche had ever produced, a pushrod engine making 95hp. The car is finished in a shade of white called light ivory. It looks wonderful and there are few flaws in the paint to be seen. There is evidence of daily driving, some of the finer details are a little rough around the edges, but for the most part, the exterior is in fine condition. The inside of this 356SC was done with red leatherette, and the reserved ivory finish outside perfectly complements this loud interior. It looks fantastic. The carpets are in excellent shape and the seats have little to no flaws. The pockets on each respective door panel look lightly stretched in some areas, but that’s to be expected. The back seats are excellent, and it should be noted that there is a small scratch in the dashboard next to the radio tuning knob. The underside of this almost 60-year-old vehicle is fantastic. There is evidence of minor surface corrosion up front but towards the back, especially under the engine, it becomes spotless. Underneath, the rear of this car is practically Concours-worthy. Well done.

The Market by Bonhams, the online classic and collectible motorcar marketplace, is now live across the US.

How it Works – The bidding process is simple: would-be bidders register with their credit card details and are immediately able to bid.
