{"id":14725,"date":"2022-02-05T12:04:29","date_gmt":"2022-02-05T17:04:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=14725"},"modified":"2022-02-05T12:04:29","modified_gmt":"2022-02-05T17:04:29","slug":"gta6-gt7-grid-legends-gaming-roundup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=14725","title":{"rendered":"Rockstar Games confirms that &#8216;GTA VI&#8217; development is &#8216;well underway&#8217; | Gaming Roundup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week in racing game news:<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Rockstar Games confirms what we already knew: &#8216;GTA VI&#8217; is coming<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In the most &#8220;well, duh&#8221; news of the week, Rockstar Games officially announced that &#8220;GTA VI&#8221; is in the works, although, notably, they never actually use the name, instead referring to it only as &#8220;a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.&#8221; The idea that the company would be working on the sequel to what&#8217;s been billed as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesindustry.biz\/articles\/2018-04-09-gta-v-is-the-most-profitable-entertainment-product-of-all-time\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:0;\">the most profitable entertainment product of all time<\/a> seems pretty obvious, but the internet exploded after the announcement nonetheless. The news reached most of us via tweet, but a press release was also sent out confirming that not only is development underway, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/gta-6-confirmed\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:1;\">but &#8220;<em>well<\/em> underway,&#8221;<\/a> implying that the game could be further along than we think. Although Rockstar has had a few stumbles as of late, there&#8217;s no denying that their biggest releases are always highly ambitious and, often, very impressive. We can&#8217;t wait to see what the next installment in the &#8220;Grand Theft Auto&#8221; franchise has in store.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Many of you have been asking about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.<\/p>\n<p>With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we&#8217;ve previously delivered. It still looks absolutely amazing and we can&#8217;t wait to dig in to the game once it releases on March 4th. It&#8217;s difficult to imagine that just a few short years ago, playing with your friends on a Playstation when you were on an Xbox (or vice versa) was only a pipe dream. We love to see more and more developers making it easier for friends to play together, despite their platform of choice.
