{"id":15346,"date":"2022-02-14T09:05:19","date_gmt":"2022-02-14T14:05:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=15346"},"modified":"2022-02-14T09:05:19","modified_gmt":"2022-02-14T14:05:19","slug":"china-mic-tesla-wholesale-january2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=15346","title":{"rendered":"China: MIC Tesla Wholesale Shipments Near 60,000 In January 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/\">Tesla<\/a> started the year 2022 with a strong overall sales\/export numbers of Made-in-China (MIC) <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/model-3\/\">Model 3<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/model-y\/\">Model Y<\/a> in January.<\/p>\n<p>The total volume (sales and export) &#8211; according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA)&#8217;s data (<a href=\"http:\/\/cpcaauto.com\/newslist.php?types=csjd&amp;id=2675\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">see report in Chinese here<\/a>) amounted to <strong>59,845<\/strong> units, which is <strong>286% more<\/strong> than a year ago.<\/p>\n<p><em>* CPCA reports wholesale shipments, not registrations\/customer deliveries.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s of course the best January ever for the plant and the second best total volume ever, according to CPCA stats. <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/560109\/china-mic-tesla-sales-december2021\/\">The only better result was December 2021, at 70,847<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cumulatively, more than 650,000 MIC Tesla cars were produced and sent out of the gate of the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tag\/tesla-gigafactory-3\/\">Tesla Giga Shanghai<\/a> plant, including over 500,000 in the past 12 months.<\/p>\n<section contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/mic-tesla-model-3y-china-1-2022-a.png\" alt=\"external_image\" width=\"16\" height=\"9\"\/><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>Last month was focused on export. Nonetheless, sales in China accounted for about a third of the total: <strong>19,346<\/strong> (<strong>up 25%<\/strong> year-over-year).<\/p>\n<p><em>Tesla MIC sales in China are usually the highest in the final month of a quarter.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Cumulatively, Tesla sales in China are approaching half a million units.<\/p>\n<section contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/mic-tesla-model-3y-china-1-2022-b.png\" alt=\"external_image\" width=\"16\" height=\"9\"\/><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>According to the report, last month <strong>40,499<\/strong> Tesla MIC cars were exported. That&#8217;s the second-best result ever &#8211; only slightly behind the October 2021 record of 40,666.<\/p>\n<p><em>Tesla usually exports the highest number of cars in the first month of a quarter, and then a substantial number of cars also in the second month of a quarter.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>CPCA data suggests that over 190,000 Tesla MIC cars were exported in the recent 10 months. Mostly to Europe, we guess.<\/p>\n<section contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/mic-tesla-model-3y-china-1-2022-c.png\" alt=\"external_image\" width=\"16\" height=\"9\"\/><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>Tesla offers two MIC models &#8211; Model 3 and Model Y (both in various versions).
