{"id":15408,"date":"2022-02-14T14:53:30","date_gmt":"2022-02-14T19:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=15408"},"modified":"2022-02-14T14:53:30","modified_gmt":"2022-02-14T19:53:30","slug":"bmw-x7-facelift-split-headlights-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=15408","title":{"rendered":"SPIED: 2023 BMW X7 LCI Spotted with Split Headlights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The BMW X7 will be getting some updated looks this year, which will be borrowed from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/02\/04\/g70-7-series-spy-photos\/\">next-generation 7 Series<\/a>, also set to debut this year. When it does, it\u2019s going to borrow the 7er\u2019s new split-headlight design, one that\u2019s bound to create some controversy.<\/p>\n<p>Readers are probably sick of me discussing BMW design controversies but, if that\u2019s true, blame BMW, not me. I don\u2019t design the cars, I just write about them. When BMW throws away decades of light design, for an entirely new setup, it\u2019s going to cause a stir, for better or worse. The upper section seems to consist of very thin daytime-running LEDs, which do look slick. The lower section seems to have the main headlights and high beams and could have a similar dual-halo design, like all BMWs from the past. There also seem to be some vertical side vents under the lower section of the headlights.<\/p>\n<p>The car in these spy photos is likely a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/02\/09\/five-things-love-bmw-x7\/\"> BMW X7<\/a> M50i, judging by the M-style side mirrors and the quad exhausts out back. The latter of which are all new, compared to the current car. Although, from these early photos, it actually seems like it will improve the look of the BMW X7. Will that be said about the new 7 Series as well? That\u2019s yet to be seen.
