{"id":15991,"date":"2022-02-22T08:19:59","date_gmt":"2022-02-22T13:19:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=15991"},"modified":"2022-02-22T08:19:59","modified_gmt":"2022-02-22T13:19:59","slug":"tesla-spotted-hundreds-model-y-gigafactory-berlin-but-approval-status-uncertain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=15991","title":{"rendered":"Tesla spotted gathering hundreds of Model Ys at Gigafactory Berlin, but approval status still uncertain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tesla has been spotted gathering hundreds of Model Y vehicles outside of Gigafactory Berlin \u2013 indicating that production is advancing.<\/p>\n<p>However, the regulatory approval to officially start production for customer deliveries is still uncertain.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-226490\"\/><ins class=\"adsbygoogle author_ad\" data-ad-host=\"ca-host-pub-5506057612223327\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4655152367470280\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"\/>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Gigafactory Berlin, a critical new factory for Tesla\u2019s plans to expand in Europe and improve its manufacturing and distribution efficiency, has been in limbo for months.<\/p>\n<p>The automaker has yet to secure the needed environmental permit to start producing vehicles for customer deliveries.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Tesla confirmed that it built the first few Model Ys at Gigafactory Berlin at the end of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The automaker also received approval <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2022\/01\/10\/tesla-receives-greenlight-build-2000-model-y-bodies-gigafactory-berlin-ahead-final-approval\/\">to build 2,000 Model Y bodies at Gigafactory Berlin ahead of the final approval<\/a> by the state of Brandenburg.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla said it needed to conduct more tests of its production process.<\/p>\n<p>Those tests seem to be working as Tesla has now been spotted rolling out hundreds of Model Y vehicles from Gigafactory Berlin in a new drone flyover of the plant:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignwide is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Giga Berlin | 2022-02-20 | Sunday after the Storm\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V512fT4FIWg?feature=oembed&amp;rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
