Seems like the fourth time\u2019s the charm for Mecum\u2019s Glendale, Arizona auction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mecum\u2019s Glendale auction just finished its fourth annual run this past weekend, and by a landslide, it was the best one yet. The incredible $66.3 million in sales was an increase of over 53% compared to last year\u2019s number, and the reserve-based auction sold 78% of the offered lots. With four cars selling for prices in the six-figure range, some incredible, rare, and beautiful cars managed to cross the block.<\/p>\n

Attendance improved by 37% compared to 2021, and for good reason, because the people who showed up were able to witness the sale of a $3 million 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB\/4<\/a>, certified by Ferrari Classiche. And not only that, what followed was a 1929 Duesenberg Model J Murphy Convertible Coupe, which sold for over $2.3 million, a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT<\/a> which sold for $2.2 million, and a 2020 Ford GT which sold for $1.1 million.<\/p>\n

Even below the $1 million mark were amazing cars, like a 2017 Lamborghini Aventador Roaster<\/a> which amassed a price near $700,000, a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 F<\/a>astback, selling for an incredible $440,000, a 1934 Packard 1107 Twelve Coupe Roadster which also sold for $440,000, a 2006 Ford GT<\/a> which sold for over $412,500, a 1995 Rolls-Royce Corniche S Convertible, selling for the same price, and a 1996 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster<\/a>, going home to a new owner for $332,750.<\/p>\n

Looking forward, Mecum\u2019s next auction will be held in Houston, with an expected 1,000 vehicles crossing the block, and after that, Mecum\u2019s flagship Indianapolis auction, which is forecasted to have over 3,000. WIth a record-shattering Glendale auction, we can be sure that Mecum Auctions has plenty of other amazing things in store.<\/p>\n
