The plug-in market share improved to a new all-time record of <strong>91.9%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The most important is the new all-time monthly record of all-electric car registrations. In March, 13,983 new BEVs were registered (up 62%), which translated into a record share of 86.1%. No other country can match Norway in terms of all-electric car share.<\/p>\n<p>Plug-in hybrid sales continue to collapse due to a reduced tax incentives (CO<sub>2<\/sub> emission component).<\/p>\n<p>Stats for the month:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BEVs: 13,983 <\/strong>(<strong>up 62%<\/strong>, at <strong>86.1%<\/strong> market share) + 1,336 &#8220;used&#8221; + 495 new vans<\/li>\n<li><strong>PHEVs: 947<\/strong> (<strong>down 78%<\/strong>, at <strong>5.8%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Total: 14,930<\/strong> (<strong>up 15%<\/strong>, at <strong>91.9%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<section contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><a class=\"lightzoom\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/new-passenger-plug-in-car-registrations-in-norway-march-2022.png\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/thumbnail\/new-passenger-plug-in-car-registrations-in-norway-march-2022.png\" alt=\"external_image\" width=\"914\" height=\"424\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/a><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>So far this year, over 29,000 new passenger plug-ins were registered in Norway.<\/p>\n<p>Plug-in car registrations year-to-date:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BEVs<\/strong>: <strong>26,803<\/strong> (<strong>up 40%<\/strong>, at <strong>82.9%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<li><strong>PHEVs<\/strong>: <strong>2,338<\/strong> (<strong>down 78%<\/strong>, at <strong>7.2%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Total<\/strong>: <strong>29,141<\/strong> (<strong>down 2%<\/strong>, at <strong>90.1%<\/strong> market share)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<section contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><a class=\"lightzoom\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/new-passenger-plug-in-car-registrations-in-norway-march-2022-b.png\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/thumbnail\/new-passenger-plug-in-car-registrations-in-norway-march-2022-b.png\" alt=\"external_image\" width=\"914\" height=\"423\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/a><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>The gasoline, diesel and non-rechargeable hybrids were in the minority with 8.1% of the market in March (2.8% gasoline, 2.6% diesel, 2.7% hybrids).<\/p>\n<p>Non-rechargeable hybrids are at the lowest share in many years.<\/p>\n<p>In March, <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/\">Tesla<\/a>\u00a0delivered a high number of 3,305 <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/model-y\/\">Model Y<\/a>, which allowed the model to become the most registered car not only for the month but also for the first quarter (with 3,328 units YTD).<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an amazing achievement, especially since the second-best for the month and year-to-date is the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/model-3\/\">Tesla Model 3<\/a> with respectively 1,696 and 1,736 units.<\/p>\n<p>The third most popular model was the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/volkswagen\/id-4\/\">Volkswagen ID.4<\/a> with 1,111 registrations in March and 1,712 YTD, followed by its premium cousin &#8211; the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/audi\/q4-etron\/\">Audi Q4 e-tron<\/a> (667 in March and 1,698 YTD).<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/hyundai\/ioniq-5\/\">Hyundai Ioniq 5<\/a> completes the top five with 591 units in March and 1,522 in Q1.
