{"id":20852,"date":"2022-04-26T21:13:25","date_gmt":"2022-04-27T01:13:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=20852"},"modified":"2022-04-26T21:13:25","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T01:13:25","slug":"bmw-m8-rendered-split-headlights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=20852","title":{"rendered":"BMW M8 Rendered With Split Headlights and Different Grille"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ll stick my neck out and say that I like BMW\u2019s new split headlight design on both the new<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/04\/25\/bmw-7-series-touring-rendered\/\"> 7 Series<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/04\/14\/2023-bmw-x7-lci-visualizer\/\">X7 LCI<\/a>. I think splitting the headlights creates more verticality to the design, which helps to fill out the massive space up front. If the headlights were single lamps, like on all other Bimmers, and thinner, they\u2019d look out of proportion with the rest of the cars, especially the monstrous grilles. Just look at the pre-LCI X7 for proof. However, this new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/03\/12\/review-bmw-m8-competition-2023\/\">BMW M8<\/a> rendered with the new split headlight design? Nope.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few flaws with the BMW M8 as a car but its looks aren\u2019t one of them. It\u2019s a great looking car and one that will remain great looking for many years to come. Its headlights aren\u2019t its best quality, as they\u2019re just sort of \u201cmeh\u201d but they\u2019re far from bad. So replacing them with these new split headlight just looks wrong. In fact, it looks like a catfish, with little whiskers hanging down. No thank you. Those slim, angular LED lights would look pretty cool next to the normal 8 Series kidney grille and would accentuate how wide and low the front end of the car is, giving it a sportier look.<\/p>\n<p>I get it, render artists always try and mash brand new designs up with older designs, one way or another, to see if they can make something cool. It\u2019s fun, it\u2019s interesting, and it gets some clicks.
