{"id":21103,"date":"2022-04-29T12:04:33","date_gmt":"2022-04-29T16:04:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=21103"},"modified":"2022-04-29T12:04:33","modified_gmt":"2022-04-29T16:04:33","slug":"tata-avinya-concept-envisions-new-breed-evs-arriving-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=21103","title":{"rendered":"Tata Avinya Concept Envisions New Breed Of EVs Arriving By 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Indian automaker Tata Motors is previewing its next generation of electric vehicles from its Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) division with a spectacular concept car called Avinya.<\/p>\n<p>Deriving its name from the Sanskrit language, the Avinya name stands for &#8220;innovation.&#8221; The vehicle represents Tata&#8217;s vision of a pure electric vehicle based on its Gen 3 EV architecture.\u00a0It has an interesting shape that&#8217;s said to combine the essence of a premium hatch with the luxuries and versatility of an SUV and the roominess and functionality of an MPV.<\/p>\n<p>Originally inspired by a catamaran, <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/371948\/tata-motors-ev-technology-brand-ziptron\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22371948%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22tata-motors-ev-technology-brand-ziptron%22%7D\">Tata Motors<\/a>&#8216; Avinya Concept displays a new identity for the brand. That is most obvious at the front and rear ends of the vehicle, which display similar lighting signatures that cover the entire width of the car.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The taillights are particularly spectacular as they seem to be &#8220;floating&#8221; above the fenders. Other striking details include the massive, illuminated faux grille, wraparound windshield that renders the A-pillars invisible, and &#8220;Butterfly&#8221; doors opening in opposite directions that welcome passengers to a &#8220;<em>class-leading spacious interior<\/em>&#8221; without B-pillars.<\/p>\n<p>Made of recycled materials and local mineral waste, the Avinya Concept&#8217;s interior exhibits a <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/580665\/audi-urbansphere-concept-debuts-self-driving-electric-minivan\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22580665%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22audi-urbansphere-concept-debuts-self-driving-electric-minivan%22%7D\">lounge-like ambience<\/a> with a two-tone color scheme, comfy-looking sofa on the second row and two individual swivel seats at the front. Instead of a traditional screen, Tata uses a soundbar, with voice being the main interface for occupants to interact with the vehicle.
