This and more, here at <em>Green Car Reports.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is the first EV on the market with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135743_ford-f-150-lightning-home-power-backup-system-price-installation-will-vary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a manufacturer-backed home power backup system<\/a>, allowing Tesla Powerwall-like utility, if you keep the truck plugged in. And it now has a price tag\u2014$3,895, including the inverter, disconnect switch, and battery pack. But you\u2019ll also need the 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro (included with the Extended Range pack), and installation could run $2,000 or more depending on your home setup.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>Toyota and Lexus do have both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135746_lexus-engineering-boss-800-volt-system-done-electric-is-the-future\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">800-volt charging and an 800-volt architecture in the works<\/a>, a Lexus engineering boss revealed to <em>GCR<\/em>\u2014although we\u2019ll only see it in EVs with big packs, over 100 kwh. For vehicles with smaller packs, 400 volts and 150-kw fast-charging work just fine, the automaker maintains.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong\/>Jeep, Chrysler, and Ram parent Stellantis announced Monday that it\u2019s planning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135745_stellantis-is-investing-in-canada-for-ev-manufacturing-and-battery-braintrust\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a $2.8 billion manufacturing overhaul of its Canadian plants for EVs<\/a>\u2014part of its electrification plan announced last year for $35 billion in five years.
