It also revealed that it anticipates the RWD version to return an EPA-rated 312 miles of range.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>We reported on an unusual patent filing\u2014suggesting that GM might be considering a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135923_gm-patent-electric-trucks-evs-fast-charging-dual-charge-ports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dual-charge-power layout for its electric trucks<\/a>. Only these models have to go to dealerships as they don\u2019t yet allow it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>Kia sees <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135907_kia-sees-electric-vans-as-key-products-for-mobility-autonomous-tech\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">electric vans as playing a key role<\/a> in its strategy for advanced mobility and autonomous tech. With an annual capacity of 300,000 EVs and production set to start in the first half of 2025, the move puts some seriousness behind Hyundai Group\u2019s intent to be\u2014across its combined brands including Kia and Genesis\u2014one of the top three EV sellers in the U.S. by 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>The American firm Sila will provide its silicon anode battery chemistry for the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135888_electric-mercedes-g-class-suv-silicon-anode-battery-chemistry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">electric version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV<\/a>, the automaker confirmed. Although GM will build the Prologue, Honda\u2019s own EVs are in the works, to arrive a couple years later.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>Several new concept vehicles were shown this week from European automakers. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135919_mercedes-vision-amg-electric-sports-car-concept-ev-future\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mercedes Vision AMG concept<\/a> provides a glimpse of the future of the AMG performance-vehicle brand\u2014including an exclusive platform and its own motor systems. It looks designed to coordinate with the slick EQXX concept, which isn\u2019t a bad thing.
