{"id":23589,"date":"2022-06-01T10:24:33","date_gmt":"2022-06-01T14:24:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=23589"},"modified":"2022-06-01T10:24:33","modified_gmt":"2022-06-01T14:24:33","slug":"buick-all-electric-2030-wildcat-ev-concept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=23589","title":{"rendered":"Buick announces it&#8217;s going all-electric by 2030 and unveils stunning Wildcat EV concept"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, Buick announced that it is only going to offer all-electric vehicles by 2030 and unveiled a stunning EV concept called Wildcat.<\/p>\n<p>At an event today, Buick unveils how its brand plan fits into GM\u2019s electrification effort.<\/p>\n<p>Duncan Aldred, global vice president of Buick and GMC for GM, announced that Buick will only offer all-electric vehicles by 2030:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" readability=\"8\">\n<p>The Buick brand is committed to an all-electric future by the end of this decade. The new badge will be body-mounted onto the front fascia of Buick products starting in 2023.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Buick also announced that its future EV products will also carry the \u201cElectra\u201d name \u2013 starting with the first electric model coming in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In order to preview its future electric vehicles, Buick decided to unveil a new 2+2 coupe concept called Wildcat:<\/p>\n<p>Sharon Gauci, executive director of Global Buick and GMC Design, commented on the vehicle:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" readability=\"8\">\n<p>The Wildcat EV concept represents the real design future for the brand. Buick has always been forward looking and this expression is a glimpse of where we\u2019re going, and the optimism we have for the limitless possibilities of an electric future.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On the powertrain side of things, Buick hasn\u2019t released any details since it\u2019s still only a concept.
