Consequently, it\u2019s safe to say customers are spoiled for choice when they play with the configurator to spec the ideal version of the sporty coupe. But what if there were even more ways to personalize the car?<\/p>\n<p>Before you get your hopes up too high, this M4 is a one-off build at this stage. Former M boss Markus Flasch published on his personal Instagram account a few images of a special creation with exposed carbon fiber surfaces on the hood like we\u2019ve seen on the recently unveiled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/06\/01\/bmw-m4-csl-walkaround-video\/\">M4 CSL<\/a>. However, this particular bonnet goes even further as it has a massive M logo between them.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CedCzMwqHzL\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" readability=\"0\"\/>\n<p>To make sure you\u2019ll be able to see it even at night, the \u201cworld\u2019s most powerful letter\u201d has its contour illuminated. The font used for the \u201c\/\/\/M\u201d reminds us of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/02\/14\/bmw-concept-xm-shown-behind-closed-doors-abu-dhabi\/\">Concept XM<\/a>, and if you look closer, the inner section of the logo is transparent. This see-through design provides a great view as you\u2019ll notice the prominent M Power lettering of the engine cover.<\/p>\n<p>Enthusiasts will agree this type of design is usually associated with mid-engined cars, but here it is on a matte green <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/05\/09\/bmw-m4-competition-jaguar-f-type-r-drag-race\/\">M4 Competition<\/a> where the inline-six sits at the front. While BMW isn\u2019t planning to sell this hood in the foreseeable future, it might have inadvertently given some ideas to tuners. It\u2019s likely only a matter of time before an aftermarket shop will come out with an exact replica of this spectacular hood design. In the meantime, BMW now allows future buyers to opt for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/05\/20\/bmw-m4-m-body-decal-option\/\">large M decal on the hood <\/a>for 1,800 euros in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re wondering what Markus Flasch is up to these days after Frank van Meel returned as M CEO, he\u2019s the Head of Luxury Class at BMW and is responsible for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmwblog.com\/2022\/05\/12\/bmw-neue-as-profitable-as-combustion-engine-cars\/\">Neue Klasse<\/a>.
