With an incredible lineup of supercars, and status as the second most successful F1 team ever, McLaren\u2019s race cars are worthy of quite a bit of celebration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>MUST READ: <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.dupontregistry.com\/mclaren\/the-mclaren-artura-makes-its-european-debut-with-an-honorary-lap-at-the-monaco-grand-prix\/\">The McLaren Artura Makes Its European Debut With An Honorary Lap At The Monaco Grand Prix<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Petersen Automotive Museum is celebrating McLaren\u2019s racing history with a special exhibition dedicated to McLaren race cars opening on June 18 to the public. It\u2019s called \u201cThe Color of Success: McLaren\u2019s Papaya Livery,\u201d and it focuses on the famous orange color that has adorned McLaren race cars for decades. It\u2019s going to be held on the second floor of the museum in the Charles Nearburg Family Gallery, and it will feature McLaren race cars that span nearly the brand\u2019s entire history, from the 1967 McLaren M6A, the first car to ever feature the Papaya livery, to the 2018 McLaren MCL33 Formula 1 race car. One of the most interesting cars that will be on display is one of just 3 McLaren M6 GTs, a model meant to be McLaren\u2019s first road car before Bruce McLaren\u2019s death in 1970.
