{"id":24097,"date":"2022-06-08T12:04:10","date_gmt":"2022-06-08T16:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=24097"},"modified":"2022-06-08T12:04:10","modified_gmt":"2022-06-08T16:04:10","slug":"1136115_fisker-pear-urban-ev-solar-roof-range-310-miles-houdini-trunk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=24097","title":{"rendered":"Fisker Pear: Urban EV will have solar roof, range up to 310 miles, \u201cHoudini trunk&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Fisker on Wednesday revealed a new interior sketch of its Pear Urban EV, as well as more information about the layout and features of this compact electric vehicle, which is anticipated to be delivered in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>The company now calls the Pear\u2014technically an acronym for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution\u2014a \u201csporty crossover\u201d that is smaller than its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1134198_2023-fisker-ocean-electric-suv-photos-specs-range-review-info\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ocean SUV<\/a>.\u00a0The newly released image makes clear that the interior follows an entirely new concept than the Ocean.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>With a uniquely contoured windshield, upright seating, and low-set dash, it appears that this model will make the most of space and outward visibility. Fisker says that the beltline and side window areas are extremely low, with a \u201cwraparound\u201d windshield.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>The company also claims that the Pear will offer a so-called Fisker Houdini trunk, which is \u201can alternative to traditional rear cargo hatches.\u201d It will also feature a SolarSky panoramic roof that adds range to the battery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrapper first_wrapper\" readability=\"7\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"tccimg_100816140_m\" title=\"2023 Fisker Ocean prototype\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAD\/ACwAAAAAAQABAAACADs=\" alt=\"2023 Fisker Ocean prototype\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"first_image lazy\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"576\" data-url=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2023-fisker-ocean-prototype_100816140_l.jpg\" data-src-h=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/hug\/2023-fisker-ocean-prototype_100816140_h.jpg\" data-src=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2023-fisker-ocean-prototype_100816140_l.jpg\" data-src-l=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2023-fisker-ocean-prototype_100816140_l.jpg\" data-src-m=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/med\/2023-fisker-ocean-prototype_100816140_m.jpg\" data-src-s=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/sml\/2023-fisker-ocean-prototype_100816140_s.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>2023 Fisker Ocean prototype<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Although it\u2019s hard to tell what\u2019s what of the interface as of yet, a version of FIsker\u2019s pivoting screen (above) might also be offered here.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>Single-motor rear-wheel-drive or dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions of the Pear will be offered with two different battery packs and a larger Hyper Range targeted at more than 310 miles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>Fisker says that the Pear won\u2019t be fully revealed until the second half of 2023, ahead of plans to build the model at a plant owned by Foxconn, which was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135838_fisker-provides-first-look-at-29-900-urban-ev-confirms-ohio-production\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed last month<\/a> to be at GM\u2019s former Lordstown, Ohio plant. Fisker also confirmed that it now has more than 50,000 reservations for its Ocean SUV, still due to start at $37,499 and be produced by Magna in Graz, Austria, starting on November 17.
