{"id":24142,"date":"2022-06-09T00:04:08","date_gmt":"2022-06-09T04:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=24142"},"modified":"2022-06-09T00:04:08","modified_gmt":"2022-06-09T04:04:08","slug":"2024-polestar-5-spy-photos-precept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=24142","title":{"rendered":"2024 Polestar 5 appears in real life in thin camouflage"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-body\">\n<p>We just got a preview of the 2024 <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/polestar\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:0;\">Polestar<\/a> 5 thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2022\/06\/06\/polestar-5-patent-drawings\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:1;\">some European patent renderings<\/a>. But now we&#8217;ve got a look at the real thing thanks to one of our spy photographers. While not fully shown, the thin camouflage confirms that the patent renderings are accurate and that the Polestar 5 will look just like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2020\/02\/25\/polestar-precept-concept-debuts-geneva\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:2;\">the Precept concept<\/a>, shown in the gallery below.<\/p>\n<p>Even without production headlights, it&#8217;s clear that the 5 will feature the new split headlights previewed by the Precept, and it has a low, pointy nose with a small grille opening in the bumper. The profile has similarities to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2022\/05\/05\/2023-polestar-2-price-options-features\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:3;\">the Polestar 2<\/a>, but with a longer nose and a lower, more flowing roofline. The whole car has more crisp lines than its smaller sibling, too.<\/p>\n<p>The rear shows evidence of the Precept&#8217;s thin, sharp taillights and makes the hatch clearly visible. It also has sprouted a little spoiler. It doesn&#8217;t look like part of the final car. It may be there to simulate an active spoiler that hasn&#8217;t been implemented on this prototype.<\/p>\n<p>The Polestar 5 is part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2021\/09\/28\/polestar-4-coming-2023\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:4;\">an aggressive product roll-out from the Swedish brand<\/a>. It&#8217;s slated to be revealed and go on sale sometime next year as a 2024 model. Before then, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2022\/06\/07\/polestar-3-photo\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:5;\">Polestar 3<\/a> will be revealed on October 3 of this year. And somewhere in-between will be a high-volume Polestar 4.
