Its dual-motor setup makes 261 horsepower (versus the GTX\u2019s 299 horsepower) and it costs from \u20ac49,020 in Germany (around \u20ac1,400 less than the GTX).<\/p>\n<p>It is seven tenths slower to accelerate to 100 km\/h (62 mph) compared to <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/features\/545822\/vw-id4-gtx-uk-review\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22545822%22%2C%22section%22%3A%223%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22vw-id4-gtx-uk-review%22%7D\">the GTX<\/a>, achieving the sprint 6.9 seconds. Its top speed is the same as the ID.4 GTX\u2019s, 180 km\/h (112 mph), which is more than the rear-wheel drive models\u2019 160 km\/h (99 mph) maximum.<\/p>\n<p>However, <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/reviews\/527734\/volkswagen-id4-pro-70mph-range-test\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22527734%22%2C%22section%22%3A%222%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22volkswagen-id4-pro-70mph-range-test%22%7D\">the ID.4 Pro<\/a> 4Motion version is not designed for performance car enthusiasts, but rather for people who may need to tow something and who also may be more inclined to take the vehicle off-road. As a model, it\u2019s been doing really well, with 163,000 vehicles delivered around the world in 2021 and an expected increase in that number this year.<\/p>\n<p>The ID.4 is currently being built at two factories in Germany, VW\u2019s Zwickau <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/587267\/germany-volkswagen-id-production-start-emden\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22587267%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22germany-volkswagen-id-production-start-emden%22%7D\">and Emden<\/a> plants (through a completely carbon-neutral process, according to the manufacturer), in Chattanooga, Tennesse and in China through <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/497430\/vw-id3-chinese-market-saic-2021\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22497430%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22vw-id3-chinese-market-saic-2021%22%7D\">the SAIC-VW joint venture<\/a> that builds the ID.4 X, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/457549\/china-vw-commences-meb-plants-foshan-anting\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22457549%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22china-vw-commences-meb-plants-foshan-anting%22%7D\">the FAW-VW joint venture<\/a> that makes <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/521848\/volkswagen-id6-entered-chinese-market\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22521848%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22volkswagen-id6-entered-chinese-market%22%7D\">the ID.4 Crozz<\/a>.
