By taking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2021\/03\/25\/ford-mondeo-discontinued-in-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:2;\">the Ford Mondeo<\/a> (sold as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2020\/05\/03\/junkyard-gem-1999-ford-contour-cng-bi-fuel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:3;\">Ford Contour<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoweek.com\/car-life\/classic-cars\/a31718594\/junkyard-treasure-1998-mercury-mystique-with-5-speed-manual-transmission\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:4;\">Mercury Mystique<\/a> on our shores) and adding luxury touches plus Jaguar styling, the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/jaguar\/x_type\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:5;\">X-TYPE<\/a> came into being and hit American showrooms starting in the 2002 model year. Fast-forward a decade or two and it&#8217;s no sweat to find entry-level European <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/car-finder\/luxury-sedan\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:6;\">luxury sedans<\/a> lined up in your local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ewepullet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:7;\">Ewe Pullet<\/a>. Here&#8217;s a decal-enhanced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/buy\/2005-Jaguar-X_TYPE\/review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:8;\">&#8217;05 X-TYPE 3.0 AWD<\/a> I found in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoweek.com\/car-life\/a32046918\/1899-camera-captures-6-junkyard-views-of-pikes-peak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:9;\">a yard near Pikes Peak<\/a> a couple of months back.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"grp-full lazy\" alt=\"\" data-original=\"https:\/\/o.aolcdn.com\/images\/dims3\/GLOB\/legacy_thumbnail\/800x450\/format\/jpg\/quality\/85\/https:\/\/s.aolcdn.com\/os\/ab\/_cms\/2022\/06\/08135505\/35-2005-Jaguar-X-Type-in-Colorado-Junkyard-Photo-by-Murilee-Martin.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>This <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/auto-shows\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:10;\">car shows<\/a> signs of having been loved dearly by its final owner. As we see here, at some point Goldie got hit hard in the right rear, and the crash damage was too severe to be worth fixing.
