Dodge will offer carbon-fiber body panels from SpeedKore Performance Group through its Direct Connection parts program<\/a>, the automaker announced Monday in a press release.<\/p>\n

Direct Connection, which launched earlier this year through specialist dealerships, will offer carbon-fiber parts for the current Dodge Challenger, including a rear spoiler, front splitter, rocker panels, and diffuser.<\/p>\n

Wisconsin-based SpeedKore previously showed similar parts on its own run of five carbon-fiber Challenger SRT Demons<\/a>. It’s also churned out some impressive vintage muscle car builds, including Hellephant-powered Chargers for comedian Kevin Hart<\/a> and Stellantis design boss Ralph Gilles<\/a>, as well as a mid-engine 1968 Dodge Charger<\/a> that appeared in the latest “Fast and Furious” movie, “F9.”<\/p>\n

In addition to these parts for the modern Challenger, Direct Connection will also work with Finale Speed on a carbon-fiber 1970 Dodge Charger body, with Plymouth Barracuda and Road Runner bodies also planned for a future date.<\/p>\n

Direct Connection also announced the Dodge Challenger Mopar Drag Pak rolling chassis, designed for National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and National Muscle Car Association (NMCA) drag racing.<\/p>\n

The rolling chassis includes a fully TIG-welded roll cage, a complete suspension (with a four-link independent rear), a Strange Engineering 9-inch rear end, Strange Pro Series II brakes, and Weld beadlock wheels with Mickey Thompson drag tires. Alternatively, racers can also buy a Challenger body-in-white with no running gear.<\/p>\n

Other newly announced items include the 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission from Dodge’s Scat Pack models, now available as a “plug-and-play” option for Mopar crate engines, 2.7-liter and 3.0-liter supercharger kits, and American Racing exhaust headers for the Challenger, Charger, and Durango.<\/p>\n

Using a name that first appeared in 1974 under the Chrysler Corporation banner, Direct Connection already offers a number of parts<\/a> for various modern Challenger models, including a Stage II kit for the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye that lifts output from thes upercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8 to 885 hp and 787 lb-ft of torque, increases of 78 hp and 70 lb-ft from stock.<\/p>\n
