That\u2019s for the X-Line AWD; the top-trim X-Line Prestige costs $44,285. Kia hasn\u2019t yet posted a build tool or detailed options, although the brand typically doesn\u2019t offer a lot of build combinations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>That puts base pricing for the Sportage PHEV just under the base price of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1128762_2021-toyota-rav4-prime-range-mpg-compare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Toyota RAV4 Prime<\/a> but above that of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135890_2022-ford-escape-plug-in-hybrid-test-drive-review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135922_test-drive-review-2022-hyundai-tucson-plug-in-hybrid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyundai Tucson Plug-In Hybrid<\/a>. The Sportage is closely related to the Tucson. With a higher-power electric motor (66.9 kw versus 44 kw), the output of the hybrid system is up versus the hybrid\u2014to 261 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>Kia claims that the Sportage PHEV will go 34 all-electric miles on a charge, and hybrid AWD versions of the Sportage earn 38 mpg combined\u2014so expect close to that once you\u2019ve used up the charge. Inside, dual panoramic display screens set a 12.3-inch instrument-panel display and 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display side by side.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><strong\/><\/strong>Kia says that the Sportage Plug-In Hybrid is available now, and it will be available in all 50 states.
