Those that go with the Adventure Package will pay an increased price determined by when they originally placed their order, while those that cancel will get a refund on their deposit.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, those who ordered the Ocean Coast interior are being asked if they&#8217;ll accept an update substituting in dark-stained wood. The company earlier this year raised prices across the board <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135198_rivian-raises-prices-for-r1t-and-r1s-electric-trucks-by-up-to-12-000-adds-dual-motor-versions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by up to $12,000<\/a> but, after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135223_rivian-restores-original-pricing-r1t-r1s-reservation-backlash\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a backlash<\/a> from customers, it restored the original pricing to those who already had a reservation.<\/p>\n<p>The price increase, which does still apply to new customers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135831_rivian-has-received-10000-more-reservations-at-an-average-93000-since-its-march-price-hike\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">didn&#8217;t slow the pace of reservations<\/a>\u00a0the company is getting. That&#8217;s partly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1133704_review-rivian-r1t-photos-price-review-specs-info\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">because the trucks are just so good<\/a>, with impressive off-road capability and on-road driving dynamics.<\/p>\n<p>Rivian laid off 6% of its employees last month and reported a net loss of $1.7 billion for the second quarter of 2022, but still plans to grow production.
