Still, at the rate <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tag\/spacex\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"7\" data-params=\"%7B%22tag%22%3A%22SpaceX%22%2C%22originalTitle%22%3A%22spacex%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22spacex%22%7D\">SpaceX<\/a> launches satellites, it\u2019s not a far cry to think the service could become available in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/evannex.com\/blogs\/news\/world-rallycross-racing-championship-ditches-gas-goes-electric\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow sponsored\" aria-label=\"Tesla\u2019s cars (Opens PDF)\">Tesla\u2019s cars<\/a>\u00a0in the years to come.<\/p>\n<p>Musk did say that Starlink\u2019s cellular coverage will be able to offer 2-4Mbps, which will be sufficient for some activities in a Tesla. However, it still won\u2019t be able to handle certain Premium Connectivity features such as live streaming Tesla\u2019s cameras. The major benefit of Starlink connectivity, though, will be enjoyed in its vast connection network, which will let users have internet access \u201canywhere [they] have a view of the sky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tesla scaled back its connectivity plans in the past many years. In June 2018, Tesla stopped including Premium Connectivity with the purchase of its cars. Cars purchased before July 20, 2022 came with the Standard Connectivity package, including maps and navigation. Both offerings last the life of the cars purchased.<\/p>\n<p>Now Tesla offers the upgrade Premium Connectivity for just $9.99 per month, or for $99 per year.
