{"id":30598,"date":"2022-09-01T12:04:06","date_gmt":"2022-09-01T16:04:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=30598"},"modified":"2022-09-01T12:04:06","modified_gmt":"2022-09-01T16:04:06","slug":"nio-electric-car-sales-august2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=30598","title":{"rendered":"NIO Electric Car Sales Increased By 82% In August 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NIO reports that its overall electric vehicle delivers in August increased by 82% year-over-year to 10,677, which is also a slight improvement over July.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the company sold 7,551 crossover\/SUVs (up 28% year-over-year) and 3,126 sedans.<\/p>\n<p><em>The overwhelming majority of NIO sales are in China, although in late 2021, the company started sales also in Norway (ES8 model).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The numbers for individual models were not released, aside from two models: the NIO ET7 (3,126), which is the only sedan in the lineup, and the all-new NIO ES7 (398), which entered the market in August.<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p>&#8220;In August, the production and delivery of the ES7, a mid-large five-seater premium smart electric SUV based on NIO Technology 2.0 (NT2), started to ramp up steadily.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sales results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Crossover\/SUVs (EC6, ES6, ES7, ES8): 7,551 (up 28% year-over-year)<br \/>including 398 ES7<\/li>\n<li>Sedans (ET7): 3,126 (new)<\/li>\n<li>Total: 10,677 (up 82% year-over-year)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<section class=\"trinity-skip-it\" contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><a class=\"lightzoom\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/nio-car-sales-august-2022.png\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/thumbnail\/nio-car-sales-august-2022.png\" alt=\"external_image\" width=\"871\" height=\"433\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/a><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>So far this year, NIO globally sold over 71,000 electric cars:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Crossover\/SUVs (EC6, ES6, ES7, ES8): 59,045 (up 6% year-over-year)<\/li>\n<li>Sedans (ET7): 12,511 (new)<\/li>\n<li>Total: 71,556 (up 28% year-over-year)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cumulatively, <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/nio\/\">NIO<\/a> sold 238,626 electric cars (the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/582200\/nio-production-200000-electric-car\/\">200,000th car was produced on April 26<\/a>), including over 107,000 in the most recent 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>All five existing models (NIO EC6, NIO ES6, NIO ES7, NIO ES8, and NIO ET7) are produced at the JAC-NIO Advanced Manufacturing Centre, also in Hefei.<\/p>\n<p>The next model &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/555600\/nio-et5-sedan-revealed-china\/\">NIO ET5<\/a> &#8211; entered production at NIO&#8217;s second factory at NeoPark in August. Customer deliveries are expected to begin in September.
