That&#8217;s an increase of $5,000 over the price Ford announced in August\u2014$48,769 including shipping\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/603345\/ford-f150-ligntning-price-increase\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22603345%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22ford-f150-ligntning-price-increase%22%7D\">when it raised prices on all 2023 model year trims<\/a>.\u00a0Compared to the price announced at the truck&#8217;s reveal in May 2021 ($39,974 excluding destination charge), the F-150 Lightning Pro is now $12,000 more expensive.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A Ford Motor Company spokesman confirmed the new pricing to <em>Automotive News<\/em> and said the Pro trim was the only model to see an additional increase for now. We will continue to monitor pricing across the model year. Current retail order holders awaiting delivery are unaffected by this adjustment. Current commercial and government customers with a scheduled order are also unaffected by this adjustment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Basically, <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/ford\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Ford<\/a> makes it clear that the new pricing applies to new orders only, as customers who have already placed orders for the F-150 Lightning Pro will pay the price that was in effect at the time the order was confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>If there&#8217;s any consolation, the F-150 Lightning Pro gets 10 miles of extra range for the 2023 model year\u2014240 miles (386 kilometers) with the Standard Range battery\u2014and offers new colors to choose from\u2014 Avalanche Gray and Azure Gray metallic. That said, Atlas Blue, Ice Blue Silver, and Smoked Quartz Metallic have been discontinued.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the price hike, the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/ford\/f-150-ev\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"1\" data-params=\"%7B%22make_alias%22%3A%22ford%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22f-150-ev%22%7D\">Ford F-150 Lightning Pro<\/a> work truck remains the most affordable all-electric pickup in the United States.\u00a0The as-yet-unavailable dual-motor Rivian R1T starts at $73,000, while the 2023 GMC Hummer EV is priced from $86,645\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/592940\/gmc-hummer-ev-pickup-suv-see-6250-usd-price-hike-across-board\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22592940%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22gmc-hummer-ev-pickup-suv-see-6250-usd-price-hike-across-board%22%7D\">after a $6,250 price hike earlier this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To be honest, the aforementioned models are not direct rivals for the F-150 Lightning Pro.
