This and more, here at <em>Green Car Reports.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">General Motors this morning confirmed that it aims to offer its first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1137436_2024-chevy-silverado-ev-home-energy-system-gm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">home energy system in the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV<\/a>\u2014capable of home backup during blackouts. That was part of a broader announcement of a new business involved in \u201ccohesive energy management\u201d going well beyond the EVs themselves.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Taiwanese company Foxconn recently agreed to build initial versions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1137414_foxconn-plans-to-build-indi-one-ev-in-ohio-previews-more-foxtron-evs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indi One EV in Ohio<\/a>, as one of its contract manufacturing gigs at the former GM assembly plant that\u2019s also due to build the Lordstown Endurance and Fisker Pear. It also rolled out prototype versions of two \u201cself-developed\u201d vehicles\u2014an electric hatchback and electric pickup\u2014that are part of its budding Foxtron EV brand.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And according to a new UC Berkeley poll, although a majority of Californians support the state\u2019s EV plan, set to ban sales of gasoline vehicles by 2035, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1137417_majority-californians-back-gasoline-car-ban-highly-partisan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">positions on it are highly partisan<\/a>. It found 77% of registered Democrats supported the plan while 81% of Republicans were against it.
