This positive result has enabled the company to increase the year-to-date sales to 262,456 vehicles (up 3.5%).<\/p>\n<p>The most important outcome for us is that <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/mercedes-benz\/\">Mercedes-Benz&#8217;<\/a> all-electric car sales further accelerated and reached a new quarterly record.<\/p>\n<p>The company sold 2,717 units, which is about 3.1% of the total volume and a noticeable improvement over around 2,000 units in the previous two quarters.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes-Benz explains that sales improved thanks to the two new models, which arrived in September: the EQB (<a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/589982\/mercedes-eqb-us-pricing-announced\/\">see price info<\/a>) and <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/606699\/mercedes-eqs-suv-production-alabama\/\">the locally produced EQS SUV<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/607980\/mercedes-eqs-suv-us-pricing\/\">see price info<\/a>), which joins the EQS (sedan).<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes-Benz EQ sales in the US:<\/p>\n<section class=\"trinity-skip-it\" contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><a class=\"lightzoom\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/mercedes-benz-bev-sales-in-the-us-q3-2022.png\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/thumbnail\/mercedes-benz-bev-sales-in-the-us-q3-2022.png\" alt=\"external_image\" width=\"906\" height=\"427\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/a><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>So far this year, Mercedes-Benz sold close to 7,000 electric cars in the US, which is not bad for the beginning of the transition to BEVs.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes-Benz EQ sales year-to-date:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mercedes-Benz EQB &#8211; 739 (new)<\/li>\n<li>Mercedes-Benz EQS &#8211; 5,751 (new)<\/li>\n<li>Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV &#8211; 277 (new)<\/li>\n<li>Total EQ: 6,767<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<section class=\"trinity-skip-it\" contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><a class=\"lightzoom\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/mercedes-benz-bev-sales-in-the-us-q3-2022-b.png\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/thumbnail\/mercedes-benz-bev-sales-in-the-us-q3-2022-b.png\" alt=\"external_image\" width=\"894\" height=\"429\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/a><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>Electric car sales are expected to further grow, as there are more models on the horizon (the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/mercedes-benz\/eqe\/\">Mercedes-Benz EQE<\/a> is next) as well as new configurations of existing models.<\/p>\n<p>Dimitris Psillakis, President and CEO of MBUSA said:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p>&#8220;Our Mercedes-EQ electric offensive accelerated in September with the arrival of the EQB and US-built EQS SUV at dealerships, two exciting new electric models in high demand segments.
