{"id":33751,"date":"2022-10-15T00:04:02","date_gmt":"2022-10-15T04:04:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=33751"},"modified":"2022-10-15T00:04:02","modified_gmt":"2022-10-15T04:04:02","slug":"porsche-confirms-macan-ev-delay-2024-over-slow-software-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=33751","title":{"rendered":"Porsche Confirms Macan EV Delay To 2024 Over Slow Software Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Porsche has confirmed that the all-electric Porsche Macan has been delayed to 2024, which goes to show that reports from earlier this year were accurate.<\/p>\n<p>In July, sources told Germany&#8217;s <em>Automobilwoche<\/em> that <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/597624\/vw-group-software-unit-delaying-key-evs-audi-porsche-bentley\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22597624%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22vw-group-software-unit-delaying-key-evs-audi-porsche-bentley%22%7D\">the electric Macan and its PPE platform sister model, the Audi Q6 e-tron, risked being delayed by about a year<\/a> because Volkswagen Group&#8217;s CARIAD division is behind in developing advanced new software.\u00a0Porsche has confirmed the delay in the share prospectus issued as part of its IPO last month, where it noted that deliveries of the Macan EV are planned to begin in 2024.<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"12\">\n<p>&#8220;The Group is currently developing, together with CARIAD and Audi, the E3 1.2 platform for deployment in the all-electric Macan BEV, which the Group plans to begin delivering in 2024. A decision regarding this is expected to be made sometime next year.<\/p>\n<p>The Macan EV will be one of the first production models to use the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) co-developed by Audi and Porsche.
