The company is very keen to point out that the vehicle was developed completely in-house, in Taiwan, and that it has capability and performance that will make it a tempting proposition in a wide range of potential markets.<\/p>\n<p>While its specifics remain under wraps, <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/585668\/foxconn-completes-ohio-plant-purchase-endurance-ev-may-be-delayed\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22585668%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22foxconn-completes-ohio-plant-purchase-endurance-ev-may-be-delayed%22%7D\">Foxconn<\/a> did say that it will have a payload capacity of 1 metric ton (2,204 pounds) and that it will be able to tow up to 3 tons (6,612 pounds). The iPhone manufacturer says its goal in the longer term is to manufacture half of the world\u2019s electric vehicles. <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/614955\/indiev-signs-mou-foxconn-ohio-manufacturing\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22614955%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22indiev-signs-mou-foxconn-ohio-manufacturing%22%7D\">Its entire business model<\/a> is built around providing manufacturing services for other companies, and it\u2019s already set up deals to build EVs for both <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/fisker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Fisker<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/lordstown-motors\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"2\" data-params=\"%7B%22alias%22%3A%22lordstown-motors%22%7D\">Lordstown Motors<\/a>; plans have also been announce for <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/604221\/foxconn-build-monarch-electric-tractor-ohio-plant-q1-2023\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22604221%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22foxconn-build-monarch-electric-tractor-ohio-plant-q1-2023%22%7D\">electric tractor production<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For the former, it will build <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/602479\/fisker-pear-electric-vehicle-rendering\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22602479%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22fisker-pear-electric-vehicle-rendering%22%7D\">the PEAR vehicle<\/a> starting in 2024, while for Lordstown, it reportedly just started building the Endurance electric pickup with first deliveries starting by the end of the year.
