Volvo has made it a core pillar of the new EX90\u2019s interior to have it distract the driver as little as possible, while also still providing information that is relevant to a given driving scenario.<\/p>\n<p>In a new video about <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/611766\/volvo-ex90-debut-november-9-brand-safest-vehicle-ever\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22611766%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22volvo-ex90-debut-november-9-brand-safest-vehicle-ever%22%7D\">the soon-to-be-revealed EX90<\/a>, the all-electric replacement to <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/reviews\/461472\/video-volvo-xc90-t8-city-highway-range-test\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22461472%22%2C%22section%22%3A%222%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22video-volvo-xc90-t8-city-highway-range-test%22%7D\">the very successful XC90<\/a>, Volvo focuses on the upcoming flagship\u2019s screens and the general user interface. We also get to see part of the dashboard, which in true Volvo tradition is unashamedly minimalist, dominated by the tall portrait-style central screen.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, we didn\u2019t see any physical buttons whatsoever on the center console &#8211; there doesn\u2019t even seem to be a button for the hazard lights any more. You can spot its symbol on the big screen\u2019s lower bar, on the far right next to the cog icon. Volvo is taking this one step further and is offering another second bar on top with buttons that change depending on what action is being performed. Thomas Stovicek, head of UX at <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/volvo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Volvo<\/a> Cars explains that<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"11\">\n<p>It\u2019s all about providing you with the right information at the right time. We want your driving experience to be focused, simple and safe. Since the car also understands its surroundings and you better than ever before, we can create an even safer situation by reducing mode confusion, distraction and information overload.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Volvo EX90 will debut on November 9th and go on sale sometime in 2023.
