The oil giant BP is planning to build a series of large-scale \u201cGigahubs\u201d\u2014EV fast-charging hubs<\/a> aimed at ride-hailing vehicles. The first one will offer 48 charging ports and be built near Los Angeles\u2019 LAX airport.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tesla is reportedly facing multiple new levels of scrutiny from both the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)\u2014reportedly both over Tesla self-driving claims<\/a>. Neither the DOJ nor the SEC have yet confirmed either of these potential actions, which rely on reports from Reuters<\/a><\/em> and the Wall Street Journal<\/a><\/em> citing insiders.<\/p>\n

A new report from the International Energy Agency (IEA) suggests that global demand for fossil fuels will peak this decade<\/a>. Partly due to Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine, and the energy and economic uncertainty it\u2019s brought about, government spending on renewable energy has surged\u2014and that could mark a \u201chistoric turning point\u201d in the shift away from fossil fuels, the IEA anticipated.<\/p>\n
