The description says:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"5\">\n<p>&#8220;20k Model Y built at Giga Texas to date!&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That&#8217;s another bit of positive news related to the production ramp-up in Texas. Previously,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/610957\/tesla-10000th-modely-produced-texas\/\">the company celebrated its 10,000th car on September 17<\/a><\/p>\n<section class=\"embed-item trinity-skip-it\" contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"embed\" data-embed-code=\"%3Cblockquote%20class%3D%22twitter-tweet%22%20data-theme%3D%22dark%22%3E%3Cp%20lang%3D%22en%22%20dir%3D%22ltr%22%3E20k%20Model%20Y%20built%20at%20Giga%20Texas%20to%20date!%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22https%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2F8Rl5ZqgqQq%22%3Epic.twitter.com%2F8Rl5ZqgqQq%3C%2Fa%3E%3C%2Fp%3E%26mdash%3B%20Tesla%20(%40Tesla)%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FTesla%2Fstatus%2F1586693920859234304%3Fref_src%3Dtwsrc%255Etfw%22%3EOctober%2030%2C%202022%3C%2Fa%3E%3C%2Fblockquote%3E%20%3Cscript%20async%20src%3D%22https%3A%2F%2Fplatform.twitter.com%2Fwidgets.js%22%20charset%3D%22utf-8%22%3E%3C%2Fscript%3E%20\">\u00a0<\/section>\n<p>This new info allows us to calculate that during the past 43 days (between September 17 and October 30), Tesla produced 10,000 Tesla Model Y.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s about 232 per day or over 1,600 per week, <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/605558\/tesla-giga-texas-production-1000-week\/\">compared to over 1,000 per week reported on August 20<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Considering that <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/617854\/tesla-production-sites-model-assignment-october2022\/\">the installed manufacturing capacity is higher than 250,000 units annually<\/a>, the target to fully utilize the capacity is roughly 5,000 per week.<\/p>\n<p><em>Troy Teslike<\/em>\u00a0reports also that it took Tesla 108 days to produce the first 10,000 Model Y in Texas and only 43 to produce the next 10,000.
