{"id":36173,"date":"2022-11-16T00:04:09","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T05:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=36173"},"modified":"2022-11-16T00:04:09","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T05:04:09","slug":"1137856_lucid-teases-gravity-electric-suv-due-in-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=36173","title":{"rendered":"Lucid teases Gravity electric SUV due in 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lucid on Tuesday provided an update on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1107806_lucid-project-gravity-suv-teased-production-to-start-in-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plans for the Gravity<\/a>, more than two years after the electric SUV was first announced.<\/p>\n<p>The Gravity is a high-end SUV sharing its platform and styling with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1137846_2023-lucid-air-pure-touring-price-range\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lucid Air sedan<\/a>, and which the company plans to deliver in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>It will offer seating for up to seven split over three rows. Buyers will also be able to choose a two-row option with five seats or a three-row option with six seats, where the second row gets two individual seats that can recline.<\/p>\n<p>The Gravity will also feature a glass roof, like the Air, and Lucid has confirmed the SUV will come with a next-generation digital dash with the company&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1137473_lucid-air-gets-new-interface-with-ux-2-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new user interface<\/a> first detailed in October. The new interface is more intuitive than Lucid&#8217;s original design, the company says, and it introduces Lucid&#8217;s hands-free driver-assist feature for highways.<\/p>\n<p>Lucid is still finalizing specifications for the Gravity but said owners can expect some grades to deliver more range than any other EV on the market, apart from Lucid&#8217;s own Air sedan, which is rated up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1129206_lucid-air-passes-tesla-with-520-mile-epa-rated-range\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">520 miles by the EPA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGravity builds upon everything we have achieved thus far, driving further advancements of our in-house technology to create a luxury performance SUV like none other,\u201d Peter Rawlinson, Lucid&#8217;s CEO and technology chief, said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Reservations for the Gravity will open in early 2023 and production is expected to start that same year at Lucid&#8217;s plant in Casa Grande, Arizona, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1131780_here-s-how-the-lucid-air-is-made-hint-it-s-not-in-a-tent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">where the Air is made<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lucid on Tuesday provided an update on plans for the Gravity, more than two years after the electric SUV was first announced.
