The IONIQ 6 EV earned the top five-star safety EURO NCAP rating, joining the <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/guides\/hyundai-ioniq-5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IONIQ 5<\/a> as one of the safest models to drive in Europe.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-266625\"\/><ins class=\"adsbygoogle author_ad ad-container adsbygoogle author_ad hide-lg author-in-content\" data-ad-host=\"ca-host-pub-5506057612223327\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9669137141129422\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The long-awaited IONIQ 6 EV, <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/guides\/hyundai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hyundai\u2019s<\/a> \u201celectrified streamliner,\u201d is about to make its grand debut. Hyundai says it will be one of the most energy-efficient EVs with WLTP-rated energy consumption of 13.9 kWh\/100 kilometers. <\/p>\n<p>Sitting on Hyundai\u2019s dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the same EV architecture used for its IONIQ 5 model, the IONIQ 6 features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>800V ultra-fast charging<\/li>\n<li>Up to 614 kilometers range per charge<\/li>\n<li>Vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On top of this, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 will be the automaker\u2019s first model to include over-the-air (OTA) software updates. The feature allows drivers to upgrade the EV\u2019s battery and controllers for electric devices.<\/p>\n<p>Hyundai\u2019s second dedicated EV is creating quite a stir among EV enthusiasts and even those that don\u2019t drive electric.
