It reiterated that goal in its latest announcement, adding that a new hybrid system is in development. The automaker didn&#8217;t provide any technical details, but said this hybrid system would arrive ahead of &#8220;the full-fledged launch of battery EVs&#8221; and possible investments in battery production to support them.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Mazda recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1134430_mazda-rolls-out-hybrids-with-full-self-charging-spin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rolled out some hybrids<\/a> in Europe, although borrowing tech from Toyota and marketing it under a &#8220;full self-charging&#8221; spin. Its first U.S. plug-in vehicle, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1133759_first-drive-review-2022-mazda-mx-30-arrives-more-than-fashionably-late-to-the-ev-party\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mazda MX-30<\/a>, has a 100-mile EPA range, although it is set for a range-extender version soon.
