To give visual weight to its commitment, Kia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2021\/01\/06\/kia-new-logo-guinness-world-record-fireworks-show\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:2;\">redesigned its corporate logo in 2021<\/a>, ditching the homely oval badges in favor of a futuristic nameplate. The new look has been out in the wild for a while now, but it seems to be causing real confusion among people reading it as \u201cKN\u201d instead of \u201cKIA.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">the new kia logo is so unreadable that at least 30k people a month search for the &#8220;KN car&#8221; ever since its debut <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jRj25JoAPp\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:3;\">pic.twitter.com\/jRj25JoAPp<\/a><\/p>\n<p> \u2014 Ashwinn (@Shwinnabego)<br \/>\n <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Shwinnabego\/status\/1593377511030792197?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:4;\">November 17, 2022<\/a>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p\/>\n<p>Whether they are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2021\/06\/22\/2022-kia-soul-updates-announcement\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:5;\">trying to read the badge<\/a> on the back of a new <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/kia\/ev6\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:6;\">EV6<\/a> or staring at it from different angles on a screen, people seem puzzled about Kia\u2019s new logo. Twitter user Ashwinn Krishnaswamy did some digging and found that people started searching for \u201cKN\u201d shortly after Kia debuted the new logo. Momentum for the search term has grown to the point that around 30,000 people search for \u201cKN Car\u201d every month.<\/p>\n<p><em>Autoblog<\/em> reached out to Kia for comment but did not hear back from the team responsible for the logo design. Despite that, it\u2019s hard to imagine feeling too badly about the mixup because it\u2019s got people talking about Kia. If someone sees the logo and Googles it for more info, the search engine recognizes that they\u2019re looking for Kia and directs them to the automaker\u2019s catalog.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2022\/11\/09\/kia-ev6-wind-review\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:7;\">Kia just adopted the logo<\/a>, so it\u2019s unlikely to change. Besides, the vehicles behind the logos are more important, and on that front, Kia\u2019s winning. The EV6 is widely regarded as a fantastic EV, and the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/kia\/carnival\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:8;\">Carnival<\/a> is a champion family hauler.
