{"id":37400,"date":"2022-12-02T12:03:42","date_gmt":"2022-12-02T17:03:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=37400"},"modified":"2022-12-02T12:03:42","modified_gmt":"2022-12-02T17:03:42","slug":"toyota-grand-highlander-spy-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=37400","title":{"rendered":"Toyota Grand Highlander spy photos reveal the extra length"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We didn&#8217;t get to see much of the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/toyota\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:0;\">Toyota<\/a> Grand <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/toyota\/highlander\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:1;\">Highlander<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2022\/12\/01\/toyota-grand-highlander-teased-what-is-it\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:2;\">the automaker&#8217;s teaser yesterday<\/a>. So one of our spy photographers has helped out. In these photos, it&#8217;s quite clear that that the Grand Highlander&#8217;s grand-ness is all about a longer body.<\/p>\n<p>It is fortunate that this prototype was photographed at a Toyota facility (<em>many\u00a0<\/em>Toyotas in the backgrounds), because it would be tough to identify it as anything in particular out on public roads. It&#8217;s just so thickly covered by camouflage. We can just make out the grumpy-looking front fascia of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/article\/2023-toyota-highlander-review-buying-guide\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:3;\">the regular Highlander,<\/a> at the nose, though (scowling headlights and frowning grille).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Knowing what&#8217;s underneath the wrappings, it does become clear that from roughly the C-pillar forward, the Grand Highlander is identical to the standard model on sale right now. From that pillar back, the SUV has been stretched a few inches. Not only that, but the roof at the back looks a touch higher than on the current one, likely to give a small bump in headroom in the third row, in addition to a bit more rear legroom, both weak points for the regular Highlander.<\/p>\n<p>The Grand Highlander will be fully revealed at the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/chicago-auto-show\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:4;\">Chicago Auto Show<\/a> in February.
