Volvo\u2019s CEO, Jim Rowan, confirmed this will be the name of the brand\u2019s smallest electric crossover, in an interview with <em>Automotive News Europe<\/em>. Additionally, Rowan is betting on Gen Z-ers to make up the bulk of sales for its new baby EV. The baby electric crossover will be cheaper and smaller than Volvo\u2019s current <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/volvo\/xc40-recharge\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"1\" data-params=\"%7B%22make_alias%22%3A%22volvo%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22xc40-recharge%22%7D\">XC40 Recharge EV<\/a>, which measures 4,425 millimeters (174.2 inches) in length, and has a starting price of $53,550 MSRP in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Expected to be based on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) developed by Volvo\u2019s parent company <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/geely\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Geely<\/a>, the entry-level crossover was previously described by Jim Rowan as being a \u201ccity car aimed at a younger demographic who can subscribe to it and make it their first Volvo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s your take on Volvo\u2019s strategy &#8211; do you think it will succeed in making money by selling subscriptions for new cars?
