Through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/12\/05\/ford-ceo-says-most-us-dealers-agree-to-sell-evs.html\" rel=\"\">Model e<\/a> program, dealerships will have two options to become EV certified by Ford. Invest $500k or $1.2 million, with the latter option providing dealerships with more EV inventory. Ford has also provided the option of not selling EVs to dealerships, though they can continue selling other vehicles from the brand.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ford has produced its <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2022\/11\/30\/ford-produced-its-150000th-mustang-mach-e\/\" rel=\"\">150,000th Mustang Mach-E<\/a>, taking the company one step closer to its goal of producing 2 million EVs by 2026. In the US, 31,000 Mach-E\u2019s have been sold through October and that\u2019s helping put in place plans for an annual production rate of 270,000. The <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/ford\/mach-e\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"1\" data-params=\"%7B%22make_alias%22%3A%22ford%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22mach-e%22%7D\">Mustang Mach-E<\/a> is currently sold in 31 Global markets.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of global, Ford will invest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/2022\/dec\/01\/ford-plans-125m-electric-vehicle-investment-at-halewood\" rel=\"\">\u00a3125 million<\/a> in EV parts production at its Halewood plant in the United Kingdom. A refresh has been rumored to be announced next year. In more <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"2\" data-params=\"%7B%22alias%22%3A%22tesla%22%7D\">Tesla<\/a> news, The brand hit another record, selling <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/tesla-sold-100-291-china-093024807.html\" rel=\"\">100,291<\/a> vehicles in <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/category\/china\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"8\" data-params=\"%7B%22section_route%22%3A%22news%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22china%22%7D\">China<\/a> during the month of November. This total marks the highest monthly amount sold since Tesla\u2019s Shanghai factory opened in 2020, which equates to an 89.7% increase from a year earlier.\u00a0<\/p>\n<section class=\"trinity-skip-it\" contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"special_image\" data-align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"spi_wrapper\"><a class=\"lightzoom\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/chargepost.JPG\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"custom-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.motor1.com\/images\/custom\/thumbnail\/chargepost.JPG\" alt=\"external_image\" width=\"779\" height=\"489\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/a><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<h2>A New Charge<\/h2>\n<p>ADS-TEC Energy has introduced the compact battery-based <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/category\/charging\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"8\" data-params=\"%7B%22section_route%22%3A%22news%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22charging%22%7D\">charging<\/a> system dubbed <a href=\"https:\/\/cleantechnica.com\/2022\/12\/04\/chargepost-new-ultra-fast-charging-system-with-integrated-battery-storage-large-screens\/\" rel=\"\">Chargepost<\/a>. The all-in-one charger integrates the battery, electronics, and cooling system, allowing it to only take up 21.5 square feet. Chargepost will provide 300 kW of power for one charging point and 150 kW for two charging points.
