{"id":38161,"date":"2022-12-13T09:04:05","date_gmt":"2022-12-13T14:04:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=38161"},"modified":"2022-12-13T09:04:05","modified_gmt":"2022-12-13T14:04:05","slug":"potential-chevrolet-malibu-ev-successor-in-the-works-may-reach-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=38161","title":{"rendered":"Potential Chevrolet Malibu EV Successor In The Works, May Reach US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last month, Chevrolet unveiled the FNR-XE Concept in China as a preview of a future Ultium-powered electric sedan for the local market.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle was shown during GM China Tech Day 2022 on November 22 in Shanghai, a special event where the automaker announced plans to launch more than 15 EV by 2025 in the Asian country.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, the company only said the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/623271\/chevrolet-fnr-xe-electric-sedan-concept-breaks-cover-in-china\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22623271%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22chevrolet-fnr-xe-electric-sedan-concept-breaks-cover-in-china%22%7D\">FNR-XE Concept<\/a> &#8220;previews Chevrolet&#8217;s new generation of electric intelligent connected vehicles custom developed for the Chinese market.&#8221; That would suggest other markets will not get it, but there&#8217;s still hope, at least for the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The question on everyone&#8217;s lips after seeing the sleek-looking FNR-XE study is whether <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/general-motors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">General Motors<\/a> plans to offer an electric sedan based on it in the US. Now here&#8217;s the cool part. While the Chevrolet electric sedan has only been confirmed for China for now, the executive appeared to leave the door open for US availability.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This one&#8217;s coming a little bit later, and this is a <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/chevrolet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Chevrolet<\/a> version of it.
