To make this happen, it\u2019s trying to entice potential customers and investors with new developments and features.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest video published on the company\u2019s YouTube channel, two of <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/aptera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Aptera<\/a>\u2019s employees show off the Gamma prototype\u2019s improved headroom, legroom, and tech, compared to the previous <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/568186\/aptera-beats-tesla-model3-race\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22568186%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22aptera-beats-tesla-model3-race%22%7D\">Alpha and Beta models<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They say that the interior of the Gamma is 1% bigger in volume compared to the Alpha and Beta iterations, and that translates into more headroom and legroom. \u201cI think 6\u20198\u201d was probably the cap that we were able to fit comfortably in the Aptera,\u201d the two continued, referring to the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/610116\/aptera-gamma-revealed-exterior-interior\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22610116%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22aptera-gamma-revealed-exterior-interior%22%7D\">reveal event<\/a> that happened in September of 2022 in San Diego when the company allowed potential customers to try out the interior of their three-wheeler.<\/p>\n<section class=\"trinity-skip-it\" contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"video\" data-url-params=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"sizer\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAABAAAAAJCAYAAAA7KqwyAAAAGXRFWHRTb2Z0d2FyZQBBZG9iZSBJbWFnZVJlYWR5ccllPAAAABpJREFUeNpi\/P\/\/PwMlgImBQjBqwLAwACDAAOVfAw9\/ZDvcAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC\" alt=\"\"\/> <\/p>\n<p><iframe allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"560\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rlSBvucps9Y\" data-src-param=\"\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<p>The video also shows a short glimpse of the working center touchscreen, which will incorporate all the controls for the solar car \u2013 the gear selector, the buttons for the side windows, and even the on\/off switches for the dome lights, which seems to overcomplicate things bit, but I guess it makes sense from a production standpoint.<\/p>\n<p>Aptera\u2019s solar electric vehicle is up for pre-order with a starting price of $25,900 for the base model which offers an estimated range of 250 miles on a single charge, solar panels on the roof and dash, and front-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive variant adds 50 kW to the power output and slashes the 0-60 mph time to 3.5 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Aptera claims its EV won\u2019t need charging from a dedicated external charger for daily use, with its solar panels providing up to 40 miles of range while stationary or during driving.
