{"id":39504,"date":"2023-01-04T06:03:48","date_gmt":"2023-01-04T11:03:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=39504"},"modified":"2023-01-04T06:03:48","modified_gmt":"2023-01-04T11:03:48","slug":"chevy-bolt-ev-price-increase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=39504","title":{"rendered":"The Chevy Bolt, America\u2019s Cheapest EV, Gets A Price Hike"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>General Motors increased the starting price for the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV, upping the MSRP to $26,500 and $27,800 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/chevrolet\/bolt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Bolt EV<\/a>\u2019s price increased by $900, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/chevrolet\/bolt-euv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Bolt EUV<\/a>\u2019s base price is $600 higher than before. On top of that, both models are subject to a $995 destination charge, but this was applicable in the past as well, so there\u2019s no change here.<\/p>\n<p>GM\u2019s announcement comes six months after it <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/589557\/chevrolet-2023-bolt-ev-euv-pricing\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22589557%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22chevrolet-2023-bolt-ev-euv-pricing%22%7D\">lowered the prices of both EVs by a massive $6,000<\/a>, making them the cheapest new electric cars you could get in the United States. But even with this latest price increase, the Bolt is still the cheapest, with the next EV price-wise being the base <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/nissan\/leaf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Nissan Leaf<\/a>, which starts at $28,040.<\/p>\n<p>The Chevy Bolt was and still is one of the best deals out there, with its low price, decent range, and roomy cabin with modern interior amenities like wireless Apple CarPlay\/Android Auto. Chevrolet remains committed in its long-standing role to provide true value. We expect to continue building the record sales momentum we saw in 2022,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Chevy Bolt was introduced in 2017 as an affordable all-electric hatchback, and for the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/reviews\/491471\/chevrolet-bolt-euv-first-drive-review\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22491471%22%2C%22section%22%3A%222%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22chevrolet-bolt-euv-first-drive-review%22%7D\">2022 model year<\/a>, it received a design refresh.
