Prices are between 13% and 24% lower than in September. A Tesla can be up to 43% cheaper to buy in China than the US, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-01-06\/tesla-cuts-prices-once-again-in-china-introduces-s-and-x-models?srnd=premium\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:6;\">per Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/tag\/elon+musk\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:7;\">Elon Musk&#8217;s<\/a> company also cut prices in <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/tag\/japan\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:8;\">Japan<\/a>, South Korea and <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/tag\/australia\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:9;\">Australia<\/a> in a move intended to stoke demand for vehicles made at Tesla&#8217;s largest factory, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/tesla-cuts-prices-model-3-model-y-china-2023-01-06\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:10;\">a source told Reuters<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/video\/watch\/idOV097307012023RP1\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:11;\">A Reuters video<\/a> also showed protests at Tesla&#8217;s Chengdu store. The news agency verified the location of the store but not the date of the protests.<\/p>\n<p>Another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5PpSC_WRXfI\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:12;\">video posted Saturday<\/a> appeared to show further protests at a Tesla outlet in Xiaoshan, with several people seen shouting and one holding up a placard.
