It\u2019s something that long-time Tesla fans have known for a while, but now it\u2019s been confirmed by none other than the company\u2019s chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen.<\/p>\n<p>The man who managed to break the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/cybertruck\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Cybertruck<\/a>\u2019s <em>armor glass<\/em> during its <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/387826\/what-is-tesla-armor-glass\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22387826%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22what-is-tesla-armor-glass%22%7D\">reveal<\/a> said in a recent interview with Ryan McCaffrey, who hosts the <em>Ride The Lightning<\/em> podcast, that he worked on the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/model-s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Model S<\/a> just a day earlier.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven though we\u2019ve just done a refresh, and it\u2019s a big improvement on the car, we\u2019re still looking at how do we continue to make it better,\u201d he said, referring to the recent refresh of the all-electric liftback. He added that it took \u201ca fair amount of time\u201d to do the whole refresh, later saying that the team probably worked on it for around a year.<\/p>\n<p>At one point, the podcast\u2019s host asks <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Tesla<\/a>&#8216;s chief designer how many times the Model S has been \u201ccompletely redesigned under the skin\u201d from its debut in 2012, to which von Holzhausen replied with \u201cit\u2019s kind of a blur, it\u2019s constant improvements through the years, like we\u2019ve improved seats over time.
